Our wines are made to be enjoyed upon release and have a ripe, fruit-forward style. Each wine is lovingly made by winemaker-owner Daniele Pozzi using a combination of his family’s traditional winemaking practices and modern technology.
The vineyards for Villa Pozzi are located in the hills surrounding Marsala, Salemi and Mazzara del Vallo in northwestern Sicily and have an average vine age of 25 years. The soil is an ideal combination of sandy, clay, calcareous, and about 35% limestone. Altitude can reach up to 900 feet, and summer temperatures can fluctuate by up to 60°F between day and night. This incredibly high diurnal range means that Villa Pozzi grapes ripen fully while maintaining acidity in the final wine.
